Influencer Spotlight: @theluxilook

Amy Zhang @theluxilook

Make the most of the end of summer with Amy Zhang’s guide to her favorite places in Los Angeles and her favorite stylish summer trends.

What are three words you would use to describe yourself?

Girl on the go. Total Sagittarius haha!

How long have you lived in LA?

Almost 5 years.

What are your favorite spots in LA?

My favorite Restaurants are Gjelina, Pace, Sugarfish, Zinque, Malibu Farms, Night + Market. I could go on forever. My favorite museums are The Broad, LACMA, and The Getty. I love to shop at The Line, anything on Abbott Kinney, and Reformation.

What are your favorite brands of the moment?

For Love and Lemons, Rhode, and Reformation for summer dresses. I also like Nation LTD for basics, and RE/DONE for denim.

What are your favorite things to do during the summer?

Go to the beach, hike, outdoor movies, host pool parties, and travel!

What are your favorite FORAY looks at the moment?

Everything from Solid & Striped, Nation LTD, and We are HAH.

How would you describe your personal style?

Laid back - a mix of feminine, classic, and bohemian.

Where are your favorite photo spots?

I truly believe the best photo spots are when you are traveling and the lighting is perfect. However, in LA I love shooting in my neighborhood (West Hollywood), Venice, and Malibu.

How did you get into influencing?

I started my blog as a way to share my fashion, beauty, and lifestyle finds. Over time and after working with many more brands, I've become much more intentional about the type of content I create.

What are your favorite editing tricks?

I try not to edit my photos too much and focus more on natural light.

What is one aspect that makes your style stand out?

It's attainable yet polished. I'm a firm believer in taking your looks from 9 to 5 to happy hour or dinner.

If you could travel anywhere in the world where would you go and why?

The next trips I'm currently planning are to Italy and Japan. I'm dying to go to Morocco and Greece as well!

What do you think will be the biggest trend of the summer?

Neons, tie-dye, and more animal prints. I'm all about a good print right now!
